Hospice is a comprehensive, holistic program of care and support for terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice care changes the focus to comfort care (palliative care) for pain relief and symptom management instead of care to cure the patient’s illness.
Hospice Care involves a multi-disciplinary approach to care for individuals. As a team we focus on pain management, along with emotional and spiritual support. Care is specifically customized to meet the needs and wishes of the patient and their loved ones. Hospice care is not curative care, but the focus is on quality of life and comfort.
Medicare typically covers hospice care at 100% based on the level of care elected.
The daily payment rates cover the hospice’s costs for providing services included in patient care plans.
As a team, we were able to spread Christmas Cheer amongst our patients through Christmas Carols, Christmas Cards and Christmas Party Events.
As a Team we attended an event at Alexis Pointe ALF in Wimberly. We celebrated Alzheimers patients by presenting stimulation stations for the Alzheimers Patients. Check out our Pictures!
